About this Event
The Annandale Campus Communication Studies and Theatre Department and NOVA Annandale Theatre Society proudly present “Laramie Project.”
In October 1998, Matthew Shepard was kidnapped, severely beaten, tied to a fence, and left to die on the outskirts of Laramie, Wyoming. Five weeks later, MoisésKaufman and fellow members of the Tectonic Theater Project went to Laramie and conducted more than 200 interviews over the course of the next year. From these interviews came The Laramie Project, a chronicle of the life of the town in the year after the murder. We present this play to honor the 20th anniversary of the death of Matthew Shepherd. Instructor Sara Weinstock and student Jeremy Pritchard will co-direct.
