The NOVA Police Department is offering Avoid, Deny, Defend (ADD) Training to all members of the NOVA Community. This nationally recognized program is designed to prepare individuals to respond effectively in the event of an active threat or active shooter situation.

Training Objectives:

• Understand the dynamics of active violence situations
• Learn the principles of Avoid, Deny, and Defend
• Gain practical strategies to increase your personal safety
• Know what to expect when law enforcement responds
• Learn how to “Stop the Bleed”

Who Should Attend:
Students, faculty, and staff of Northern Virginia Community College who want to be better prepared and more confident in emergency situations.
